Dr Rosena Allin-Khan, Tooting’s MP, introduces your Balham and Tooting Bec Labour team
In May, you’ll have the opportunity to elect new councillors to represent our community at the Town Hall.
Good local councillors can make a real difference to local people’s lives. So I am happy to introduce Fleur, Clare and Hector, your local Labour team, who I know will be real champions for Balham and Tooting Bec, and will to work with me to make a real difference in our community.
- Fleur Anderson has been your local Labour Councillor since 2014. She lives on Ritherdon Road and her children have all gone to St Anselm’s school. Fleur’s campaigned to improve road safety outside of our local schools and opposed the Tory-run Council cutting down the trees on Chestnut Avenue.
- Clare Fraser live on the Heritage Park Estate. As a long-term renter in Tooting and Balham, Clare knows the challenge many face to get on the property ladder, and is committed to making housing a top priority.
- Hector Wakefield lives near Tooting Bec. He’s got lots of experience of working with local government and so really knows how to get things done.
Fleur, Clare and Hector are all committed to keeping Council Tax low – after all, they pay it just like the rest of us.
In May, you’ll have the chance to vote for local Labour candidates who will put local residents first, whatever your politics, to work with the community to make our roads are safer and greener for pedestrians and cyclists, fight the negative impacts of Brexit and defend local schools from cuts.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you think your Labour Action Team can help you out with anything else. We’re committed to working hard for everyone in Balham and Tooting Bec.
