Dr Rosena Allin-Khan, Tooting’s MP, introduces your Nightingale and Balham Labour team
In May, you will have the opportunity to elect three new councillors to represent our community at the Town Hall.
Good local councillors can make a real difference to local people’s lives. I am happy to introduce Colm, Henry and Rebecca, your local Labour team, who I know will be real champions for Nightingale and Balham, and will work with me to make a real difference in our community.
- Colm O’Flynn has lived in Balham for over 25 years, sending his children to local schools, and spending his career leading teams working with some of London’s most vulnerable people. He has a wealth of experience working with local government and really knows how to get things done.
- Henry Fowler has been working with local teachers and parents leading the fight against the cuts to schools across Wandsworth. As a young private renter who wants to raise a family in the borough, Henry knows the challenges faced by renters, and is committed to making housing a top priority.
- Rebecca Wilson runs Little Village Wandsworth, a charity based on Rowfant Road in Balham, supporting families in need of baby equipment and clothes. Rebecca has lived in the area for almost 20 years and is passionate about ensuring all local children get a great start in life.
Colm, Henry and Rebecca are all committed to keeping the same low Council Tax – after all, they pay it just like the rest of us.
In May, you will have the chance to vote for local Labour candidates who will put all local residents first, whatever their politics, to work with our community to make roads safer and greener for pedestrians and cyclists, fight the negative impacts of Brexit and defend local schools from cuts.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you think your local Labour team can help you out with anything else. We are fully committed to working hard for everyone in Balham and Tooting Bec.
